Cooking Schools In Italy

As the number of cooking schools in Italy grows with each passing year, it can become more challenging to choose a program. If you have been considering a culinary vacation in Italy, one that focuses more seriously on the cuisine of this wonderful region, we ask that you take a moment to review our 7 day culinary and cultural program. It is our belief that this comprehensive program will provide an in-depth background to authentic Tuscan cooking, better than a single-day class can. We are confident that you will find our week-long program to be among the best in Tuscany, and we make it our priority to accommodate as many requests as we can for our guests. The culinary program has been designed for lovers of Tuscany and all that it represents--the carming medieval towns, the centuries old traditions, the people and their culture, the art, and of course, the great food and wine! We have spend time with our chefs to create a week dedicated to the secrets and traditions of Tuscan cookery and participants will spend many hands-on hours perfecting the skills of Tuscan cooking in our original kitchen of the 14th century 'Villa Pandolfini.'

Most people who look into cooking schools in Italy want to deviate from the norm and obtain an authentic culinary experience, among gregarious and knowledgeable chefs. This is what we strive to offer guests though our various culinary programs, both week-long and single day classes. We offer a host of different packages to accommodate your individual needs. Some people want the in-depth culinary adventure, in which case we would highly recommend the week-long culinary and cultural program, our '7 Day Gastronomical Adventure.' This program reaches far beyond the Tuscan kitchen, as you will branch out and discover the local vineyards, learn how olive oil is pressed, and even take in the sights of breathtaking Florence. It has been purposefully designed to appeal to those that love the kitchen and maybe friends and family that just want to enjoy the days trips and the eating!

Cooking Schools in Italy May Be Many, But . . .

Perhaps you don't want to spend an entire week focused on cooking, but still want to try your hand in the kitchen. Well, in this case we would suggest either our two or three day packages, or even our single day package, where we offer both a Basic and Advanced Class. When you go this route, you certainly will learn from the best chefs how to create mouthwatering Tuscan meals, but you will also spend a good portion of your time discovering secrets of the kitchen that you would never be exposed to at home and other aspects to Italian living. Do you know why in Tuscany the bread is made without salt? Did you know that the best olive oil is actually green? Have you ever considered serving strawberries with balsamic vinegar? Perhaps you will visit some of the local food markets, and get expert advise on how to pick the perfect tomato, sharing an Italian tradition with our locals! Maybe you will take part in a wine tasting at some of the local vineyards, as we can arrange wine tours for you to experience firsthand what goes into the art of fine winemaking.

At the Villa Pandolfini Estate, which is conveniently located just 13 kms from the center of Florence, we can also offer charming accommodations in the various cottages and farmhouses scattered over the 150 hectares. From all accommodations, you are only minutes walk through the gardens to the original galley kitchen of the villa, where we hold our classes. You may just want to spend some time in the kitchen whipping up some culinary delights, only to relax at our pool at the Pandolfini Estate afterwards. There is nothing like a good meal followed by a nap poolside under the warm Tuscan sun. The Pandolfini Estate has vibrant gardens, which infuse the air with the fragrance of delicate roses, lavender, fresh rosemary, and fruit trees. Imagine drifting off to sleep with the heady scent of roses and the sounds of chirping birds all around you. You will of course wake up hungry, and we can certainly recommend some good restaurants in the area for you. Come see what we are all about at Good Tastes of Tuscany. We are sure you won't be disappointed.
