Culinary
Schools In Italy
What does one look for when investigating culinary schools in Italy? Well, the answer all depends on what it is you want to see and do while in Tuscany. Many of our guests who take part in our culinary programs have a great appreciation and respect for Italian cooking, and they want to learn how to create some authentic meals under the instruction of native chefs. At Good Tastes of Tuscany, we have developed a few different culinary itineraries to accommodate the varying needs of our guests, although our 7-Day Gastronomic Adventure is without a doubt the most intensive hands-on class we offer.
If you want to come to Florence and immerse yourself in a culinary program, we offer a week-long culinary class that truly provides in-depth instruction and knowledge of Tuscan cuisine. You will learn from the best, Lisa and Maurizio, how to make pasta by hand, which sauces taste best with certain types of pasta, how to choose only the most ripe tomatoes, and where to go to get your hands on some highly prized truffles. You will visit the market with one of our chefs to choose the ingredients for the day's menu, and you will also learn about olive oil and how important it is in Italian cooking. Tuscany is one of the most beautiful regions in the world, and you will find yourself constantly in awe at what nature has so generously bestowed on this land and its people. The gardens at the Villa Pandolfini will leave a lasting impression on your memory, and you will likely find yourself longing to return for an encore visit once you have arrived safely home. The vibrantly colored gardens and the mosaic terrace provide the perfect backdrop for weddings. It is always our great pleasure to host the glorious event of two people coming together in love!
Perhaps you do not want to spend an entire week in the kitchen, as you want to get out and explore Florence and the unforgettable countryside in and around the Pandolfini Estate. If you want to get your hands to work in the kitchen without committing to a week, you will be pleased to know that our culinary school in Italy also offers two and three day courses, as well as single day sessions. This is ideal for those of you who want to learn some of the basics of Tuscan cooking, but also have the itch to get out and visit some museums, surrounding vineyards, and perhaps do a little shopping. Many of our guests simply enjoy exploring the grounds of the Pandolfini Estate, as it is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and lots of relaxing nooks and crannies where you can go to enjoy an afternoon siesta or perhaps read a book. When you are in Tuscany, you will find that time moves a little slower, as the natives enjoy coming together over a meal, just as much as they enjoy lingering over glass of wine, or even just a cup of coffee.
It is our firm belief that Good Tastes of Tuscany
offers guests the opportunity to come to Florence
and fully immerse themselves in the culture, the climate,
the food, and the people for a few days or even a few
weeks. We work hard to design a culinary program to
suit your individual needs and wants, so you can enjoy
your time to the fullest while you are with us. Sure,
there are a number of culinary schools in Italy to choose
from, however we are confident you will find our program
to be the best. When you are with us for a culinary
adventure, you are treated like family. In Tuscany,
family means everything.
