A one-day cooking class in Florence with Good Tastes of Tuscany is designed around your level of experience. A good portion of our guests choose the Basic class, which is geared towards the novice chef who wants to learn valuable lessons about the world of Tuscan cooking. Our more Advanced Class simply consists of more in-depth recipes, however we are pretty sure even ambitious beginners could tackle this class. Our native chefs, Lisa and Maurizio, will guide you through the process of making an entire meal, from appetizer through dessert, with a great deal of fun and laughter. Cooking in a Tuscan kitchen should be enjoyable and relaxing, and many of our guests sip wine from the Pandolfini Estate while whipping up some outstanding culinary treats alongside our vivacious chefs. We guarantee an unforgettable experience.
Most people who take part in the one-day cooking class
in Florence with us do so because they have an avid
interest in Tuscan cuisine, but do not want to spend
their entire vacation in the kitchen. For this reason,
we have made it possible for guests to choose from a
variety of cooking plans, from single day classes to
fully customizable multiple day classes, then our week-long
gastronomical program. The single day class can certainly
give you a feel for what it is like to prepare a mouthwatering
meal in an authentic Tuscan kitchen, enjoying the wine,
and the conversation with new friends. During the day
Lisa will share with you a lot of extra secrets, handed
down to her by her grandmother, things you don't learn
from a cook book! After the preparation of the meal,
you the chefs, and other guests will have the opportunity
to feast on the treats you worked so hard to prepare.
The day's experience will provide many memories for
you to keep forever and new dishes to replicate at home
for your friends and family.
Menus tend to vary according to what is in season, so your meal will vary accordingly. The summer months tend to yield the most succulent fruits and vegetables, which means if you visit during this season you will center many of your recipes on ingredients that are ripe and full of flavor. The autumn and winter months are colder, and therefore the shift in ingredients leans more towards savory meats and sauces, including poultry and game. If you have always wondered what wild boar tastes like, come visit us in the fall or winter months, and you will likely get a chance to find out.
